Teachers’ To-Do List for March Break

This is the third year of very stressful school environments for educators. Teachers are at their breaking point. Read more about that here. We need this March Break desperately. I don’t know about you but I have a hard time relaxing on March Break so I made myself a To-Do list of things I need to complete on March Break. Trust me, it’s a great list.

If you are looking for suggestions for the above list, here are some to help.

To meditate, Calm is a free app for educators. Go here to join the movement. It is great to use in your classroom and also amazing for educators to use.

If you are in need of a great book recommendation, here are some of my latest 5 star reads.

If you are in Ottawa, the best coffee roaster is Little Victories. You could combine two things to do and check their locations on Bank Street or on Elgin and then take a walk around. It’s one of my favourite things to do. Check out their locations here.

If you are looking for a new place to hike, download the All Trails app or check out AllTrails.com. There is a free version which is what we use to hike. You can search for different kinds of hikes and research them in different places. There are so many amazing hikes all around us. Downloading the app will help you find some. Our favourite Ottawa hikes are Shirley’s Bay Loop, Shelia McKee Nature Trail and Mill Pond Conservation Area.

Last, but definitely, not least is making a yummy recipe. I have been obsessed with Tiegan Gerard from Half Baked Harvest. I recently got one of her recipe books and everything I have made from it is amazing. You can also sign up for her newsletter and every morning you will get an email with another delicious recipe into your inbox. Watching Tiegan on Instagram is also a delicious mouthwatering treat. I definitely recommend it. Your stomach will thank me.

I hope you have an amazing, restful March Break!
